Faces of Fiction 2
This project showcases a series of vector fan art I made while exploring the software illustrator in my early days of B Des. I was intrigued by web series and the characters featured in them which manifested into my work and making portraits of those characters are my go-to theme while learning a new medium.
About the Project
The project emerged from my fascination with the compelling characters from Netflix's hit series "La Casa De Papel" (Money Heist), which served as perfect subjects for my vector illustration work. The distinctive visual appeal and strong personalities of these characters became an inspiring foundation for exploring artistic expression through digital illustration.
The process involved transforming three iconic characters from the series into stylized vector portraits, breaking down their distinctive features into simplified yet impactful forms. Working with clean lines, flat colors, and minimal gradients, I focused on capturing the essence of each character while maintaining a cohesive style across the series. This project allowed me to further refine my Illustrator skills, particularly in using the Pen tool, Pathfinder, and Clipping Masks, while paying close attention to the details that make each character instantly recognizable to fans of the show.
