This project showcases a series of vector fan art I made while exploring the software illustrator in my early days of B Des. I was intrigued by many movie characters, real life people which manifested into my work and making portraits of those characters are my go-to theme while learning a new medium.
About the Project
The project emerged from my fascination with iconic movie characters and inspiring real-life personalities, which became a consistent source of inspiration for my work. As I began to familiarize myself with Illustrator, I found portrait-making to be an ideal theme to experiment with the medium, allowing me to combine artistic expression with technical skill development.
The process involved breaking down the visual elements of characters and individuals into simplified yet stylized vector forms, focusing on clean lines, flat colors, and minimal gradients. This exploration helped me understand the fundamentals of Illustrator, including the use of tools like the Pen tool, Pathfinder, and Clipping Masks, while developing an eye for detail and precision.
